A windy day at the Diamond Valley Lake Cross Country course in Hemet failed to slow Beaumont's boys and girls teams from sweeping their second consecutive MPL league meet.

Beaumont's boys ran away from the field again posting 18 points, to Banning's 46 and San Jacinto's 74. Victor Delgado pulled away from his competitors in the last mile to position himself for a second straight Mountain Pass League MVP.

The rivalry between Beaumont and San Jacinto girls was again fun to watch, as Beaumont edged San Jacinto 26-29. However, Celene Batrez of San Jacinto surprised Ashley Cervantes of Beaumont, overtaking her lead in the last mile. Setting up a final head to head match up in two weeks at Beaumont, that may decide the girls MVP.

League Finals and CIF positions will be determined in two weeks on the 31st in Beaumont.
